Un oggetto d'arte sonora.
Il multiplo d'artista che Giuseppe Chiari ed ants hanno
ideato, riguarda intrinsecamente la musica. Chiari, il più
importante artista fluxus italiano, prosegue nella produzione di
"statement", frasi che colpiscono l'attenzione e che accentrano
l'interesse sulle sue idee anti-convenzionali. Dopo la produzione di
alcune cartoline riproducenti dei timbri, ecco il primo timbro
d'artista "sonoro". Non perchè suoni, ma perchè il
contenuto dello statement "Quit Classic Music" (Lascia la musica
classica) dice molto di più (e con molta maggior veemenza) della
concezione musicale di Chiari, di quanto non possano a volte dire gli
stessi brani musicali.
Come un disco il timbro può essere riprodotto a piacimento dal
fruitore e, più di un disco, il messaggio dell'autore
può essere esportato e trasmesso.
Timbrate tutti i dischi di Beethoven e tutte le partiture
di Brahms che vi capitano a tiro!!
Il multiplo d'artista è tirato in 35 copie numerate. Si compone
di una scatola in cartone bianca, dimensioni cm. 9 x 6 x 4.5,
contenente un timbro con lo statement "Quit Classic Music" con il
nome CHIARI sull'impugnatura ed un cartoncino dove sul fronte
l'artista ha ripetuto, a mano, copia per copia, la scritta "CHIARI
-Quit Classic Music" e che sul retro è stato numerato.

An
object of "sound" art! An artist's multiple that Giuseppe Chiari and ants
thought as stricly connected to music.
Chiari, the most important italian Fluxus artist, continue in his
"statement" production, short phrases conceived to hit and provoke the
public attention.
After the postcards reproducing several of his more anticonventional
music statements, here is the first sounding-rubber stamp.
Not because it really "sounds" but because this statement "QUIT CLASSIC
MUSIC", tells us more (and with more strenght) of the musical concepts
of Chiari than a recording often can do.
As a record, the rubber stamp can be reproduced at pleasure and, more
than a record, the author's message is spreaded and remain after.
Stamp all the Beethovens' records and the Brahms' scores you find!
Multiple in 35 copies, signed and numbered.
It comes in a little white carton box (cm. 9 x 6 x 4.5), with the
rubber stamp "CHIARI - Quit Classic Music", with Chiari's sign on the
handle and a sheet with the statement hand written for each sigle copy
by Chiari itself and the rear numbered.
